PatientKeeper Reports Record Sales and Product Deployments in the First Half of 2005

New Contracts, Client Expansions, and Industry Awards Further Establish PatientKeeper's Position as the Leader of Mobile Computing for Healthcare

BOSTON, Mass. - July 26, 2005 - PatientKeeper® Inc., the leading provider of mobile computing solutions for healthcare, announced today it achieved record sales and product deployments in the first half of 2005. The company secured 19 new contracts with customers across the healthcare continuum, including group practices, community hospitals, large academic medical centers, and entire health systems. Ten existing customers chose to expand with additional PatientKeeper products or users. Since the start of the year, 23 customers have deployed PatientKeeper. In addition, PatientKeeper was honored with both the 2005 TEPR and 2005 AMDIS awards.

"With PatientKeeper, we were able to quickly extend our MEDITECH system to mobile devices, giving doctors easy access to real-time patient information at the bedside and anywhere in the hospital," said Lori DeLone, chief information officer at Halifax Community Health System. "We introduced PatientKeeper Clinical Results™ to an initial group of 25 physicians. Feedback has been overwhelmingly positive - doctors tell us PatientKeeper saves them time, helps them communicate better with their patients, and aids in making informed clinical decisions. Our plan is to aggressively expand use throughout the balance of the year."

Several key factors have led to PatientKeeper's successes: breadth of functionality, simplicity and flexibility of design, interoperability and integration capabilities, and rapid deployment-often in as little as 4-6 weeks.

"PatientKeeper's platform approach has allowed us to easily expand with additional applications as we need them," said Carla Maslakowski, chief information officer at Northeast Medical Center Hospital. "Recently, our nursing staff wanted the same easy access to patient information granted to our physicians. We decided to add PatientKeeper Clinical Desktop™, expanding access to patient information to both our physicians and nurses."

The industry has also recognized PatientKeeper. In May, PatientKeeper won first place in the TEPR 2005 Award in the category of Mobile Applications for Use in Healthcare. Moreover, the Mobile Application Team at CHRISTUS Spohn Hospital, a PatientKeeper client, was named a winner of the 2005 AMDIS Awards, last week, for excellence and achievement in applied medical informatics.

"PatientKeeper has invested in infrastructure and application development to deliver integrated solutions that support care teams in a single hospital or across an entire healthcare system," said Paul W. Brient, chief executive officer of PatientKeeper. "Designed specifically for healthcare environments, the PatientKeeper Platform provides an open, extensible infrastructure for integrating, managing, developing, and deploying mobile healthcare applications. It is this flexibility that has allowed us to effectively serve the individual needs of physician practices throughout the country."

PatientKeeper offers the broadest range of integrated applications supporting the workflow of physicians and other healthcare professionals. PatientKeeper products include PatientKeeper Clinical Results™, PatientKeeper Clinical Desktop™, PatientKeeper Charge Capture™, PatientKeeper Mobile Dictation™, PatientKeeper ePrescription™ (Powered by DrFirst), and PatientKeeper Reference Library™.
