Medical Center Selects PatientKeeper to Provide Physicians with Advanced Patient Care Management Tools
Boston, Mass. and Joliet, Ill. - May 30, 2007 - Saint Joseph Medical Center, part of the Provena Health System, today announced that they have contracted with PatientKeeper® and will deploy its physician information system to the entire physician community. Saint Joseph will be the first hospital in Provena Health System to deploy PatientKeeper to their providers in order to enhance the accessibility, usability and availability of its information systems. PatientKeeper will make it easier for physicians to practice medicine and make the delivery of high quality care to their patients more efficient. PatientKeeper's thin-client portal provides physicians with a single view of their patients' clinical data stored in St. Joseph's MEDITECH system and other non-HIS systems such as PACS, EKG, and EMRs. By providing physicians with access to PatientKeeper Physician Portal, eSignature, Sign-Out, Mobile Clinical Results and other products, physicians have up-to-date patient information anytime, anywhere from a tablet, laptop, PDA, or Smartphone - whichever best supports the physician's workflow. What began as an effort on the part of St. Joseph's to provide their physicians with quick access to clinical results in a physician-centric view on a PDA has evolved into something much broader.
